Navigator driving an older woman and her pet, illustrating the caring support volunteers provide to help seniors access essential services

Get To Know Us

Our Navigators program began in early 2025 when Dottie Sines and Marie StPierre, joined CARL's family of volunteers. Their work is supported through the University of Maine Center on Aging's Community Connectors program. Marie and Dottie have recruited seven retired nurses and counselors with years of experience helping older adults receive the services that contribute to their quality of life: good health, economic security, a safe home, good nutrition, and a supportive community.  These Navigators have already made great positive differences in the lives of those whom they serve in the central part of the County -- and this is just the beginning!  We are working to recruit more committed volunteers so that we can bring our effective caring to other parts of the county -- and we invite you to become part of our story.  Contact us -- we'll be happy to talk with you about how you can share your talents and your caring.
