Connecting Through Community Support
Community Navigators / Navigateurs Communautaires is committed to assisting older adults in Northern Maine in gaining equitable access to medical and social services. Our trained volunteers provide crucial personal support and walk with you every step of the way as you journey towards a healthier and more satisfying life.

Our Mission
Many older adults in Northern Aroostook County struggle to access the medical and social services they need. Isolation, lack of transportation, complex paperwork, and declining vision or hearing often make it difficult to get the help they deserve.

Our Navigators are here to change that.

We take the time to visit, listen, and understand each person’s needs. We help coordinate care, attend appointments, explain medical instructions, and complete forms for essential benefits. Most importantly, we walk with them through every step — making sure no one has to navigate these challenges alone.
Our Vision
We envision a community where every older adult in Northern Aroostook County can easily access the medical, social, and community support needed to live healthy, connected, and fulfilling lives. No one should face confusing systems or barriers to care alone.

Our vision includes a strong network of Navigators who bridge the gap between older adults and essential services. By listening, guiding, and accompanying people through each step, we provide support that is both personal and empowering.

Ultimately, we strive to make aging in place safe, possible, and joyful — a community where language, isolation, mobility challenges, or paperwork no longer stand in the way of wellbeing.
