It's free, of course. Join your new and older Aroostook friends at CARL' Navigators Community Meal at the VFW Hall. It starts at noon and lasts until about 1:00 or so. Bring some friends -- and come prepared to enjoy yourselves.

About the event
A great meal, lots of enjoyable conversation, a chance to get in touch with friends, background music, and door prizes, too. You'll get a chance to hear about what CARL and the Navigators (I know, that sounds like a Boy Band's name, but CARL is really the Center for the Advancement of Rural Living, and the Navigators are volunteers who help some of our older adults to get the health care they need and deserve. They are mostly retired nurses and social workers, so they know how to fill out forms and make sense out of a 15-minute doctor's visit and the advice that comes from that. They also know about where people that you would like get together. You can rely on them -- they know what they're doing, they're persistent, and then care a lot.
