All who are interested in helping to meet the needs of older adults who face barriers to accessing needed healthcare in Central and Northern Aroostook are invited to join us.

About the event

We'll begin the day with a meet and greet from 9:30 to 10:00. From 10:00 to 11:00 we'll be presenting information about the Navigators model of helping to ensure that older adults are able to access medical care, nutritious food, socialization opportunities, adequate housing -- all that is needed to live a healthy, meaningful life. At 11:00 we'll discuss some of the grant funding requests we have submitted and their importance to the Navigators' work, our planning to expand services into the St. John Valley, and our outreach to partner with other agencies. Then Navigators and our guests will discuss needs they have discovered, and ways to meet those needs (there are some great stories about how Navigators have helped older adults overcome what they thought were insurmountable barriers).
